Here is a set of cranes in used construction equipment depending on their nature of task. The general use of crane is to lift objects, lowering of heavy objects, machinery etc with the help of cables and pulleys .They are generally used in huge construction projects and industries as well. Today we will be talking about aerial crane, tower crane, crawler crane and floating crane.

1. Aerial crane: Aerial cranes are also called Sky cranes. They have shape like helicopters and are used to carry large loads. They are used mostly where reaching through land is impossible. They usually lift loads to high rise buildings. They can lift anything in their capacity from mini vehicles, boats to pre made swimming pools. Also can be used in rescue purposes as well.

2. Tower crane: This kind of crane is most normally used in daily basis lifting purpose. They are fixed to the ground in concrete or attached to the wall of structures. They are mostly used in construction of long building. They can lift load upto 20 tons approximately.

3. Crawler crane: These kinds of cranes move on the railway track specifically. Their main usage is construction of railway lines, maintenance and for their repairing. These cranes have flanged wheels so they cannot travel on flanged wheels.

4. Floating crane: Floating crane is also known as crane ship, crane vessel or floating crane. It is mostly used in offshore construction cranes and they are specialized in the lifting of heavy loads. They can also be used to load and unload or lift sunken ships from water. There are fixed and cannot be rotated. They have a large capacity of almost 8999 tons.
