The Heavy Construction Equipment Expo
The Intermat 2015 expo is organized once every three years. This heavy equipment expo is the world’s second largest international construction equipment event, recently held at the Paris-Nord Villeinage Exhibition Center, on 20-25 April 2015. This year, the lead organizers of Intermat were Come symposium, Cisma, SE intermittent and Seimat. The primary focus of the construction equipment expo was to gather the world’s top construction companies and give them a platform to showcase their respective equipment ranges. These brands also took the opportunity to demonstrate the latest management techniques and trends in the environmental, forestry, construction and refining industries. Being a globally covered event, Intermat served as the perfect platform for construction brands, service providers, buyers, and distributors to expand their businesses globally. This kind of construction equipment expo always attracts many investors and buyers from all parts of the world, allowing construction equipment dealers and manufacturers alike a chance to attract business.

The exhibition was organized in an open area of over 380,000m2. Organizers also arranged for a separate outside equipment testing area of 25,000m2, where exhibitors and buyers easily field test a machine while also providing live demonstrations.

Many leading equipment companies were obviously present at the expo.To name a few (quite a few, actually) there are: Hitachi, Caterpillar, Bobcat, Comaco, Terex, Volvo, JCB, Hyundai, Kubota, Grove, Waldon, Yanmar, GEHL, Case New Holland, Komatsu, Deere, GroupeFayat, Haulotte Group, MécalacAhlmann, Massey Ferguson, Samsung, Taylor, Kobelco, Ditch Witch, Wirtgen, National Crane, Genie, Manitou, Liebherr and GroupeFayat. All of these heavy construction equipment companies are big players in the industry and have built strong professional relationships with all their customers.

If it isn’t obvious enough from the image, many different products were being showcased at this year’s Intermat expo including transportation equipment, excavators, vibratory rollers, mechanical diggers, motor graders, tractors, heavy cranes, concrete mixer, recycling equipment, material processing machines, together with all their parts and attachments.

The finally tally on the total number of exhibitors at the heavy equipment expo was around 1,350 with a majority of them coming from outside France. For this year, 200,000 visitors visited Inter mat, that’s at least two football stadiums full of people. Visitors were there from all commercial industries such as global construction leaders, contracting authorities, distributors, industrialists and material traders, rental firm owners as well as construction service companies.
